Pablo Neruda's story? When I spoke in Valparaiso, Chile ... which is Neruda’s home … South American leaders there gave me the poet and activist’s Book of Questions. Since then I bought several copies and gave them to friends here… I am inspired by questions Neruda wondered about… and often they help to add fresh approaches to my day….
Tell me… is the rose naked or is that her only dress?
Why do trees conceal the splendor of their roots?
Who hears the regrets of the thieving automobile?
Is there anything in the world sadder than a train standing in the rain?
Neruda’s questions help me to think of a gentler day… and help me to take on the harsher parts of the day that come in my daily paper…. They make me curious for the things underneath the reasons we don’t help one another and support one another more as business leaders….
