At Washington University In St. Louis a computerized atlas now
highlights critical changes in brain disorder, according to Michael Purdy post on May 18th… The computerized atlas has illustrated the genetic condition known as Williams syndrome as 33 abnormalities in the folding of the brain's surface.
If you are that 1 in every 20,000 births who suffers impaired visual and spatial skills but still has musical ability and sociability…you’ll be glad to see these new breakthroughs published in The Journal of Neuroscience.
These computerized images of the origins of developmental brain disorders such as Williams syndrome will help researchers begin to devise new approaches to treat them. The PALS brain atlas is the first imaging that accurately portrays the complex folds of the cerebral cortex which differs for all humans much like human fingerprints. Any stories from your experience...?
