
Over lunch today, two good friends and I wondered why
where people lingered over dinner in busy sidewalk cafés… shops piped up-beat music into the street… and a sense of expectancy filled the evening air. Even the flowers looked alive and freshly watered.

As I think more about the great conversation over lunch today and the words stated by neurobiologist, David Felton, who won a MacArthur “genius grant award.” At least in part of
"If you color outside the lines, you'll have a lot of people trying to break your Crayolas. When you're the first with something, it's not easy getting other people to take you seriously."
What do you think...? Do you have any ideas to help my city out of the rut and back onto a canvas ... ready to risk newer ... brighter colors ...outside the lines...?










I too would love to see a vibrant city to come into and enjoy. It would be lovely if there was a "draw" to the city. I know occasionally but especially during the Holidays I make it a point to visit Arena's Florist in the city for their unique "goodies" not to mention the spiritual uplift I get not only from the flowers and their heavenly scent but from the mood that transends from the moment you enter the door. Someone always greets you with a firendly hello and makes you feels welcome. Unfortunately everything I need is within 1 minute of me and my village so I tend to stay close to home when I get there.
