A book you won’t want to miss if you want change as I do… is Rise of the Creative Class …. Its pages open a provocative new window into where we’re headed… as author Richard Florida shows increasing
creativity in our economy… all because of creative people like you … who are on the rise.
Do you agree with Forida’s claim that “millions of us are beginning to work and live much as creative types like artists and scientists always have - with the result that our values and tastes, our personal relationships, our choices of where to live, and even our sense and use of time are changing. Leading the shift are the nearly 38 million Americans in many diverse fields who create for a living — the Creative Class?” If that intrigues you as it does me… you’ll enjoy this book’s research support…
Do you see the fundamental economic change in your corner of the world? The Creative Class now apparently comprises more than thirty percent of the entire workforce… so it’s time to stop and take another look. Would this author count you as part of the Creative Class? As part of that group you make choices that already impact the economy, and in the future you too will help decide how workplaces are organized, what companies will prosper or go bankrupt, and even which cities will thrive or wither. That’s the author’s basic theme anyway and it holds hope for changing systems which stagnate and hold back creative change…. That’s what I think anyway…. How about you?

Ellen,
I'll quote Pablo Picasso here:
"Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up."
I believe that all of us are creative individuals...it's just that some of us have "pushed it into the back of our minds" and have forgotten our God-given talents...or perhaps forced to forget by society or school systems (a whole other topic)...
