Fred Smith, founder of Federal Express asked, “Why can’t there be reliable overnight mail service?” Few out there may value your responses at first… Fred proposed his idea for a federal express in a paper at Yale and got a C. Makes a person wonder about schools’ penchant for the curious mind…but that’s another post….
To question means to seek – the root word is the same as the word for quest. Good questions are useful guides to our inner and external worlds mainly because they generate action.
Eleanor Roosevelt put it this way: “I could not, at any age, be content to take my place in a corner by the fireside and simply look on. Life was meant to be lived. Curiosity must be kept alive. The fatal thing is the rejection of curiosity. One must never, for whatever reason, turn her back on life.”
